How the services fit together
A water loss moves in stages. First the water has to stop and be removed, then the structure has to dry, then damaged materials come out, and finally the building is rebuilt. Each service below owns one of those stages, so you can read the page that matches your situation.
If you are standing in water right now, start with emergency water removal. If the water is already out but walls and floors are still wet, water mitigation is the stage that matters most in the first 24 to 72 hours.
Once the structure is dry, water damage cleanup removes debris and contaminated materials and sanitizes what stays. Water damage repair then rebuilds drywall, flooring and finishes. Storm and wash flooding has its own page at flood damage restoration, because the water carries mud and contamination that change the work.
Mold is the secondary service on this site. It usually follows a leak that stayed wet, so mold remediation covers containment, removal and independent clearance testing.
